Happy Birthday to me!!!! and a very Happy Navratri to all of you.. :)))).
“Limited Edition” these two words are enough for me to buy any new makeup and that’s how I bought the newly launched limited edition shimmering brick from the Lakme Absolute ‘s illuminating range. Let’s see how it fared for me.
What Lakme says:-
“A blush palette with a hint of shimmer that’s been specially crafted by our backstage expert. With four luminous and silky shades that effortlessly blend into your cheeks, this is your chance to embrace a soft and rosy glow to your face.”
Price and Availability:-
Rs. 725/– for 10 gms. Available at Lakme counters and on Amazon.
This coral blush or “shimmer bricks” as they are called has 4 beautiful bars of colors. Each shade is beautiful and can be be used individually or all four colors can be blended and used as a blush. All the four shades have shimmer in them but nothing over the top.
Let‘s see the colors now. From top to bottom.
First shade is a nice coral color. Works beautifully as a blush.
Second shade is a beige shade.
Third one is a beautiful golden brown color. I have used this as an eyeshadow and looks amazing. Can be used as an illuminator.
Fourth shade is peachy shade.
As I mentioned earlier, all these shades have shimmer in them and bring warm luminosity to the cheeks.
Let’s see the hand swatches. Swatched in the same order as in the pan.
The palette does not come with a brush or a mirror. Also for a limited edition by Sabyasachi the packaging is a little blah!!
And this is how it looks on me. In the pic below, I have used all 4 colors as blush.
To Sum Up:-
- Beautiful shades which can be used individually as well.
- Good pigmentation.
- Good staying power.
- Moderately priced.
- Limited edition by designer Sabyasachi.
- Can be used as an illuminator.
- Can be used as an eyeshadow.
- Gives subtle glow.
- No mirror and applicator.
- Very thanda packaging.
Overall i like this blush and might buy the pink shade as well from this range.
Have a great Navratri all of you. Cya soon.
