COLORBAR PERFECT MATCH BEAUTY BALM White Light 001 – REVIEW

Hello,

How are you all doing? I saw Neerja last weekend and absolutely loved it. Definitely a must watch. A big salute to Neerja Bhanot.

I am on a shopping ban, need to save some bucks… But going to a mall just to watch a movie and coming back empty hand is not my cup of teaπŸ˜€πŸ˜›.  Anyway,  I stopped myself from buying a lipstick… (difficult task for me) and decided to pick up Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm (BB cream).  It was on my list for long finally bought it.

My Take on the Product:-

I prefer using BB creams for everyday office use and don’t like using heavy foundations.  Also I am lazy to use moisturizer and sunscreen separately.. These BB creams are definitely like a blessing for me and I have tried them from different brands.  I always look for a BB cream with SPF and had purchased Benefit’s Bigger than BB (review coming soon) when Sephora opened in Mumbai recently. It costed me a bomb (read Rs. 3500πŸ˜‘πŸ˜°)  I dont use it everyday. This led me to pick up Colorbar Perfect Match Beauty Balm.

This Beauty Balm comes in four shades. 001 WHITE LIGHT,  002 VANILLA CREME, 003 HONEY GLAZE AND 004 CINNAMON SWIRL out of which the SA tried 001 WHITE LIGHT and 002 VANILLA CREME on my face. We both thought that 002 looked more yellowish on my skin so I picked up 001-White Light.

TEXTURE:- The texture of this Beauty Balm is mousse like and it spreads easily with fingers on my combination skin.   Those with dry skin will have to use moisturizer underneath or else it will highlight dry patches. Secondly,  I have observed this needs to be blended quickly.

Coverage:- It gives a light coverage (which a BB cream is supposed to do unlike a foundation) and looks quite natural on the skin without looking cakey and madeup.  If you have acne spots or dark circles you will have to use a concealer.

Staying Power:- It stays for good 6-7 hours on me after which my T-zone starts looking oily.

This Beauty Balm comes with SPF 20.  I have observed it does not leave a whitish cast which looks horrible in pictures.  Also this is paraben free and has not broken me out.

What I don’t like about it:-

I find it expensive for the quantity I am getting. I mean I feel I’ll finish the tube super soon.

To Sumup:-

Pros:-

  1. Light,  natural looking coverage
  2. SPF 20
  3. Paraben Free
  4. Blends easily with fingers on my combination skin.
  5. Stays for 6-7 hours.

Cons:-

  1. Little expensive for the quantity offered.
  2. Dry skinned beauties will require moisturizer underneath.

MFL Ratings:-

3.5/5

Overall I like this BB cream but I might not repurchase.  I have Bobbi Brown BB cream on my list now.  I will definitely recommend this BB cream to combination and oily skin girls.
