L’oreal Paris True Match Genius 4-in 1-G2 Gold Porcelain – Review

Hello,
How are you all?  I bought this new cream foundation launched by L’oreal Paris L’oreal Paris – True Match Genius 4-in-1 Primer-Foundation-Concealer-Powder. Let’s see whether it worked for me.

What L’oreal claims?
Smoothes skin surface like a primer, for a never before velvetty finish,
Glides and unifies like a fluid foundation,
Covers imperfection like a concealer,  for a 100% flawless skin canvas,
Finishes like a refined powder,  for 12 hour lasting perfection,  perfectly matches your skin,  your shade. “
How to Use? – (Taken from L’oreal website).
” Start with a cleansed,  toned and moisturized face.
Apply True Match Genius using puff applicator.   Start at your forehead and blend down to your nose and cheeks.
Continue to blend down part your cheeks,  upper lip and chin.  Make sure you do so in a downward motion for a perfect finish.”

Price and Availability:-
Rs. 1295/- for 7gms.  Available at the L’oreal counters at Lifestyle and Central.
My Take on the Product:-
I saw 6 shades at Lifestyle L’oreal counter and picked up G2- Gold Porcelain which is quite perfect for my NC 40 skin tone. Darker skin beauties might find it difficult to find their shades.
This is a cream foundation which claims to do the job of a primer,  concealer,  foundation and a powder. The texture is cream mousse like.
AS A PRIMER –   Yes,  I could see a visible difference in the pore size.
This foundation makes my skin look instantly bright.
AS A FOUNDATION – It gives decent medium coverage.  But the lasting power is not that great.  In about 3-4 hours my T-zone starts looking oily.  I love the creamy mousse like texture.  I  use it exactly the same way how it is mentioned on the L’oreal website (see above) with the sponge provided. Please keep in mind, if not blended properly, it might look streaky.
The sponge won’t last me too long though. It has become quite dirty in just 10 days.

In just 10 days of use

The foundation has Spf 26/PA+++,  which is a plus point for me.  I don’t have to use a sunscreen separately when I step out for office.  But it also means I can’t use it for photographs…it leaves a whitish cast.
AS A CONCEALER It does not work for prominent dark circles and spots. You will definitely need a concealer.
AS A POWDER- It does not work for me as a powder.

Without anything on my face

As you can see in the picture above, I have not applied anything on my face.  In the picture below I have used the foundation.

With foundation

It definitely leaves a whitish cast on my face.
TO SUM UP-
PROS
1.Love the creamy mousse like texture.
2.Matches my skin tone perfectly.
3. Has SPF 26/PA+++.
4. Very Cute Packaging.
5. Works quite well as a primer.
CONS
1. Fails as a concealer and powder.
2. Expensive for a drugstore foundation.
3. Limited shades.  No shades for darker skin tones.
4. Doesn’t last 12 hours as claimed by the company.
MFL Ratings:-3/5
You can try this foundation if you have normal skin with little to no blemishes. I am not too happy with it and won’t repurchase.
Cya Soon.
